Wig Styling

My new hair is the pioneering new charity founded by and inspired by Trevor Sorbie, who provides public advice and supports a national network of independent salons and professionals who provide a wig styling service for people suffering from cancer and medical hair loss. Importantly, each of these professionals have approached us personally. They pledge their commitment to responsible training and provide a caring and respectful service for their clients.

My new hair is all about helping you. We understand hair loss can affect you on many different levels and the anxieties this can cause. We hope through the help we provide to support and inspire you to have the hair you need and deserve. Jazzy d's works with hair salons throughout the UK and offer the best standards of wig styling.

The My New Hair website has a list of my new hair recommended salons all over the UK; these are the guys we work with, under the careful eye of our founder Trevor Sorbie, to ensure they offer you expert advice and styling to make your wig as individual as you are.

As well as the list of recommended salons, the My New Hair website is a 24hr information service and has a links page that will signpost you to lots of different websites. There you’ll be able to find answers to your questions and also other like-minded organisations that may be able to help you further.

My new hair’s ultimate aim is to work closely with the NHS and open up the opportunities for clients to receive funding towards the purchase of a wig. Until this time we endeavour to support those special cases where there is a genuine need and a gap in NHS funding. So if you have any questions or comments please email sarah@jazzyds.co.uk and drop me a line.

Sarah, not only recieved intensive direction on working with and fitting wigs for clients with Trevor Sorbie himself, but also took part in a communications workshop lead by cancer nurses from The Communication Equation Ltd. who are experienced in helping people improve their communication skills, particularly when dealing with sensitive and difficult situations. An invaluable part of the training, this element of

the seminar has been designed to help "My New Hair" associates put even
the vulnerable clients at ease, allowing the nurses to answer questions and share their professional knowledge and insite with the group.
