Sarah Dawes


Sarah Dawes has worked passionately in the hairdressing industry for 25 years. She is salon director of Jazzy D’s a friendly and forward looking hairdressing company who believe that hair is a fashion accessory and work very closely with L’oreal professionnel and Tigi to deliver the latest looks. She has just returned from Manchester where she was trained by celebrity hairdresser Trevor Sorbie OBE in the latest looks for Autumn/Winter 2008. Earlier this year she worked at a spring/summer photoshoot for Marie Claire magazine where she designed the colour for channel 4’s 10 years younger hairstylist Andrew Barton..(see picture of sarah between 2007 british hairdresser of the year Andrew Barton and 2008 winner Angelo Seminara from Trevor Sorbie). She also did the colour for a Prima photoshoot this year too!Sarah is an educator for L’oreal professionnel in their International Academy in London where almost every week she delivers training on every aspect of hairdressing including the ‘colour specialist degree’. In the academy Sarah teaches alongside some of the greatest names in British Hairdressing..Previously Sarah worked in London for Charles Worthington and in Cambridge for the late John Oliver, both men were contributory to her extremely high standards of cutting. She has attended hundreds of courses and seminars over the years from many top names including Nicky Clarke, Trevor Sorbie, Aidee Phelan and Paul Merrit (from channel 4’s show ‘The Salon’), Andrew Collinge, and Daniel Galvin. She is currently attending a year long course in London called 'the Fantastic Salon' however this is due to end soon so she has signed up for another year long course in London called 'the ambassador programme' ,where she will be taking her Jazzy d's manager Abby along too.Sarah’s ongoing commitment to personal development ensures that her team at Jazzy d’s receive the latest training on the latest looks and techniques. This philosophy is key to Jazzy D’s and Sarah feels confident that she can offer an exciting and varied Training Program, ensuring that her team have a superb training base to set them up for life in the wonderful career of hairdressing.
